Underground Dog Fence

These fences contain your pet using a perimeter wire which is normally buried underground. The signal travels along the wire and is detected by the specially made collar fitted to your dog. When your dog approaches the wire, the collar will signal to the dog that he should not travel any further. The wire can be left above ground, but really should be buried to keep it out of the way of lawn equipment and other hazards.

• Transmitter which plugs into an outlet and transmits the signal down the wire
• Plain wire which cacarries the signal
• Twisted wire which cancels the signal and allows you to have a break in the fence - mainly so the dog can get out into the yard
• Collar(s) for one or more dogs
• Flags to visually mark the fence boundary for your dog

Depending on the model, some of the other components your electric dog fence system may have is a charger for the collar, a lightning protector, battery backup and remote trainer.
